Emerging Ghanaian rapper Tom Desty has jabbed reigning VGMA23 Awardee Lyrical Joe for his recent involvement in a beef with rapper Amerado.
According him, the development reflects the need for Lyrical Joe to prioritize humility in the space thus, garner significant experience and motivation.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, the Kumasi based rapper further opined that rap battles which are locally referred to as ‘beef’ is a healthy occurrence in the music fraternity and can serve as a platform to affirm competition, motivation and experience for musicians.
He subsequently described the trend as deliberate move by his peers to project their perspective on who’s best in the game.
“Lyrical Joe is a newbie, his recent award at the VGMA is making him. He should embrace humility and shun the rantings” he stated.
Meanwhile, Lyrical Joe has dared Amerado to boldly reveal who his new ‘Obiaa Boa’ song is coined for.
